How can we bring a mural to life through emerging technology?

The Chemainus Festival of Murals Society curates and maintains dozens of murals spread throughout their town, providing an artistic and historic experience for visitors. Hololabs was approached to see if we could help enrich the guest experience through emerging technology, and as a proof of concept we chose Mural 03 - “Steam Train on Bridge Over Chemainus River” and sought to bring this mural to life with fully-animated 3D graphics, animation, and sound effects.
